It’s Scientifically Proven, the FFF X Lineup Ain’t Nothin’ to F*ck With!

May 28, 2015

Our homies at Transmission Events broke the internet this morning as they released the highly anticipated lineup for Fun Fun Fun Fest‘s ten year anniversary. Every year they deliver a wide array of superb acts from genres everyone can rage to, and this time they really outdid themselves.

Here’s Bill Nye‘s take on this year’s festivities:

Peep the lineup, cop your tickets, and help us celebrate 10 years of Fun Fun Fun!

One of our most beloved venues in Austin, The Mohawk, is up for USA Today’s “10Best Readers’ Choice” award, but the only way they’ll win is with your diligent voting!

Mohawk has been the host for many of the most memorable shows I’ve attended including Big Freedia, Suicidal Tendencies, Melt Banana, Public Enemy, Iggy Pop, X, Turquoise Jeep, Pentagram, The Melvins, Dead Milkmen, and countless more.

Mohawk is also the host for House of Vans every year for SXSW, and the lineup never disappoints. This past year I caught The Damned, which was a nice treat for me after working merch for them a couple of years ago during the last Chaos in Tejas.

(Inside gossip: I sold their shit so well, Pinch asked me to tour with them, to which I had to politely decline) It was great to finally be able to watch instead of work. I also ran into Nardwuar that night, who was trying to figure out how I got in a few moments faster than him using the same credentials. (the PIP line was a cluster-fuck this SXSW)

The Mohawk is currently number 9 in the contest, and could really use all the help EVER to reach number 1. This venue truly deserves it, and is a huge part of Austin’s Red River Cultural District. Help put this venue on the map even further and offer your vote every day!

Celebrate Ten Years of FUNFUNFUN!

May 14, 2015

I’ve got some great memories in the vault thanks to the folks at Transmission Events. Fun Fun Fun Fest is consistently the best festival every year, and I always have the time of my life – this year they celebrate 10 years of fun and fellowship, and will release the anniversary lineup on May 28th. Tickets will also be available at 10am CST that day.

Here’s a recap from FFF8:

and some of the most memorable acts that have graced the stages of the fest:25 Fun Fun Fun Fest 2014 as_bmx_fest15_2048 bet-experience-snoop-dogg-650-b flyinglotus-funfunfunfest-110914-andypareti-3_1058_705_95 King-Diamond---Chad-8 Run_DMC-Orange-3 sh-AgainstMe__2 Slayer_at_FFF_2013-17

There’s seriously too many amazing artists to list. People gather from all over the globe to see their favorite performers all in one lineup, and even scour the crowd to see what celebrities are making an appearance!

This festival sets itself apart from the others every year by offering 3 stages of stacked musical acts, a comedy stage that has been host to many notable standup comics and television stars, as well as influential performers like John Waters, Henry Rollins, Tenacious D, Jello Biafra and much more. You’ll also find skate and BMX ramps with scheduled rides by some of the biggest names in the extreme sports world, the best food truck selections in the city, and plenty of shopping options from local purveyors; and did I mention the NITES shows?

Fuck Disneyland, Fun Fun Fun is truly he happiest place on earth.

Follow the fest on social media for updates on the lineup, contests, and other general radness.
